When I first saw Dr. Winters my smile was a mess, and I was not sure what to do to correct it. I had already done Invisalign and had pinhole gum surgery but my bite was worn down and completely off due to years of grinding my teeth. The enamel on my teeth was also compromised, and I had become very self conscious about my smile. I was thinking that veneers would be the next step, but Dr. Winters convinced me that the correct approach would be to rebuild my bite and do a total restoration. It is the best investment I have ever made in myself. It took years off of my face, giving the appearance of a facelift. It also gave me a perfect bite, which eliminated years of chronic neck pain that would wake me at night. The results are natural and truly transformative. I am so grateful that Dr. Winters decided to move his practice to Austin. He is one of a very few dentists who are experienced with this type of restoration. I can enthusiastically say that the process and the investment are completely worth it.

I love this place! The environment is really much more relaxing than the average dentist’s office and the staff is very friendly. They offer special touches like warm neck wraps during your dental treatments and you can listen to music or even watch TV with those cool TV goggles! On top of that they have one of the best massage therapists on their staff. You can either schedule a massage to finish up after your dental work — or go there just for a massage. I highly recommend this place!

I never felt the needles, Annie with the hand and foot massage was incredible (took my mind off of everything), the tv glasses were great, Lynne was so very nice and sweet! My teeth look great!

I’ve lived in Austin for 18 years and had one other dentist. Not to mention a few others, before I moved to Austin.It’s been 3-years since my last dentist appointment and I dreaded going back. I also had no data on what has changed in the field of dentistry. Plus, dealing with the pain was probably one of the main reasons I delay the evitable. From day one, when I walked into The Hills Dental Spa, I was amazed. To my surprise, The Hills Dental Spa was a completely different experience … Times had definitely changed or I had come across a very special place. Perhaps it was the extraordinary expertise of the doctor and his caring staff. Based on the initial assessment and all that it revealed, I was totally comfortable with the decisions I had to make. Plus, I had options and choices. There was no rush to get everything done, and I could go at my own pace and do whatever I wanted.

This is a great place. The office is warm and inviting and everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years and was a little embarrassed but they made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained in great detail with options so I was not pressured to do anything I didn’t want to. I’m now excited to be on a path for better dental health!

…this office is as good as it gets! I love going to the dentist here. Every detail is attended to here. The waiting room is peaceful and comfortable but you never spend much time there. Your dental assistant whisks you back into your room quickly where you are offered a warm neck wrap and a variety of media to entertain you while getting your teeth cleaned or examined. They even have glasses so you can continue watching your program when they tip you back in your chair. You can arrange for a hand massage as well. Talk about pampered! A massage therapist is on staff so if you’d like to follow your dental visit with a massage that can be arranged. And the doctor and the staff are always professional. You’ll leave feeling like you visited a spa. I don’t think a dental visit can get any better than that!

I’ve been to the Hills Dental spa twice now and I love going there! They pay attention to all the little details from start to finish. Like water, tea, and snacks in the waiting room and a hot pad for your neck to help you relax during your cleaning and dental services. I have been going to different dentists for years and have yet to find a dentist with excellent customer care and the latest in dentistry. The Hills dentistry team often goes to weekend trainings around the country to better their services. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist or on the fence about getting dentistry services!

I’ve been going to the Hills for years and loved all of the past and current staff. I just had a cleaning with Sierra for the first time. She is awesome! Such a gentle touch and positioned me in the chair so that the entire experience was comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend her if you have a hard time with dental cleanings like I have had in the past.

A big thanks to you for your recommendation for an orthotic/night guard. It truly works! Headaches which I attributed to allergies have significantly been reduced and I even think that my overall smile has improved. The Best part is that this nightguard definitely stays put. They repaired and replaced a couple of aging crowns, and used the latest in whitening techniques, to brighten my smile. As a technologist myself, I have huge respect for a professional who invests in the latest technology and does this for the purpose of caring for his patients. I was surprised that I couldn’t feel the anesthetic. I think that’s the part of dental work about which I’m most anxious and I didn’t even feel it at all. And later, when it wore off, there was no soreness. My new fillings look great, my bite feels good, flossing is smooth, and I had zero soreness in my teeth and gums when I got home. I’m so grateful for such careful and gentle dental care.

The Hills Dental Spa is as good as it gets. The entire practice is very professional, but with a kind, personal touch. You can tell the doctor is a perfectionist – an absolute must for a good dentist… Until The Hills Dental Spa, I had never had a Novocain shot where I didn’t feel a thing. Honestly, I didn’t know he had begun. Also, he makes crowns and onlays DURING your visit, so you don’t have to deal with a painful temp and a follow up visit. This is a HUGE convenience…I highly recommend The Hills Dental Spa to all my friends.

I recently completed a year of Invisalign and am thrilled with the results and the way The Hills Dental Spa addressed my concerns at the conclusion of the treatment. I refused to wear braces in my youth and so I was a much older patient with irregularly worn teeth. He crafted a tiny tooth top to perfect my smile and I have referred my daughter to him to touch up her smile prior to her October wedding.

I used to get really bad headaches, which Dr. Winters figured out were from clenching my teeth. He told me about neuromuscular dentistry and explained how a full mouth reconstruction could help with my pain and give me a more attractive smile. I had never really been unhappy with the way my smile looked, but after the procedure I couldn’t believe the difference in my appearance. My new smile is beautiful and so natural looking. Dr. Winters even reshaped my gums, which were always too obvious before. I tell my friends to think about having their smile done before getting a facelift or anything like that. People don’t realize how important their teeth really are.

ALWAYS a pleasure to visit Dr. Winters and his team! My son and I drive from DFW to Austin every 4-6 weeks for our orthodontics and that is a very conscious choice. There are hundreds of dentists in Texas that can “straighten” your teeth and we drive right past them because Dr. Winters not only continues to educate himself as well as his team, he educates other dentists and his patients to understand how your smile is WAY MORE than just straight and white teeth.
