Mouthwash Wonders

Did you know that mouthwashes can do more than just give you good breath?! Some contain antiseptic agents that reduce plaque and prevent gingivits, both of which can cause bad breath, as stated by the American Dental Association. It is best to use mouthwash in the evening after you have flossed and brushed your teeth and tongue. Also, be sure that you are gargling for at least 30 seconds so that the bacteria on the back of your tongue and in your troat is reached. This will help prevent morning breath. If doing this causing a burning sensation on your cheeks or tongue, try an alcohol-free version.
