Cavities

24% of adults have untreated cavities today.  These tiny holes in the tooth surface start out often with no symptoms.  But with regular checkups, these areas of bacterial decay can be treated quickly and inexpensively, before the cavity hurts.  Once the cavity gets larger and deeper, affecting deeper layers of the tooth structure, you are at greater risk of a toothache and even nerve damage in the tooth.  But did you know, when a cavity is just forming in a tooth, most can be removed and the tooth repaired without even needing a shot!  A treatment called Air Abrasion can be used blast out the decay and a white composite material is used to fill in the space left behind.  Absolutely PAIN FREE!  So prevention pays.
