A Smile for your Problems

According to the May issue of SHAPE magazine, the next time you’re stumped by a problem, stop for a break and watch a funny video or listen to an upbeat, cheerful song.  It won’t be a waste of time – research from the University of Western Ontario found that people in a good mood are able to come up with more creative solutions to problems.  “Happiness releases dopamine, a neurotransmitter that also helps your brain function better,” says study author Ruby Nadler, Ph.D. So smile and melt your problems away!
